Emerging Leaders News: 2 Key Updates

AN EVER EVOLVING AND GROWING STORY

A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

The Board announces that Emerging Leaders Founder and CEO, Trevor Waldock, has decided that now is the right time for the next generation of leadership to take up the baton of moving us forward. It is they who have the opportunity to build on the phenomenal success of the past ten years.

It would be difficult to overstate Trevor’s contribution. A conservative estimate of our work in 16 countries over this period shows the lives of over 2 million people have been positively impacted by our training. Trevor has developed and nurtured our Vision and Mission; conceiving and developing a programme based on the foundation of our work: that mindset and life leadership skills are the key to transforming lives.

Trevor has also built a strong leadership within EL - at Board level and in the management team. This has enabled a smooth transition to our new CEO, Steve Miles.

Steve steps into the role on 1st February 2020. He has been our Head of Training over the past 4 years and brings to this position a deep knowledge of our programmes combined with significant field experience. He has worked very closely with Trevor and Jane over this four-year period.

We also take this opportunity to recognise the significant contribution of Head of Education, Jane Beaumont who has also decided to step down from her role. Jane has contributed in so many ways to the life of Emerging Leaders. Her artistic talent has demonstrated the power of pictures in conveying meaning; transcending language barriers. Among many initiatives she created the Lead Now programme, an important addition to our work in engaging Youth and teachers in schools.

We say a massive thank you to Trevor and Jane for devoting a significant period of their lives to Emerging Leaders and wish them both well for the next phase of their lives.

We also wish Steve well and the support of us all as he takes up his new challenge.

A FRESH LOOK EMERGES

As part of this transition we have also been working together over recent months on three crucial new elements of our digital and communications platforms:

  • A re-launch of the website to better communicate who we are and what we do

  • A newly added ‘resource centre’ on the website for a deeper dive into information, data, impact, case studies and blogs

  • A refresh of the Emerging Leaders logo which reflects our desire to see people of all ages and all walks of life to take courageous leadership steps to unlock their human potential and flourish
